I’ve had Maggiano’s catered before, but this was my first dining-in experience. Firstly, our server was wonderful. He was funny, extremely attentive throughout the meal, and helpful in having us pick our dinner. My aunt and I had the dinner for two special, which was a steal for two salads (or an appetizer), two classic pastas (plus two more to take home), and dessert. The Italian salad I had was filling, even though it was the size of a side salad. I could barely eat my eggplant parmesan, which was extremely tasty. The eggplant tasted fresh, the spaghetti was decent. Their special chocolate cake was out of this world. It was rich with the chocolate cake and ganache. Unfortunately, the mushroom al forno I had as the take-home pasta was not appetizing. The parmesan sauce was far too overpowering and took away from the ravioli. However, my aunt enjoyed all of her dishes as well as the fresh bread!
Though Maggiano’s is a chain, I do crave it once in awhile. It’s because it has been around for a long time and I had various memories going here with friends, work, celebrating birthdays with them or even keeping my brother company when he got a broken heart once upon a time.Reading people saying it’s mediocre food was like.. Uh… What do you expect from a chain restaurant? Like Spiaggia’s quality of pasta? Come on now. However, mediocre is harsh. It’s not the mind blowing pasta experience, but the food is good. The spaghetti and meatballs is always good. The calamari is always tender and yummy. I crave their Rigatoni D all the time. They have even tried to elevate their dish now with a more creative and fancy pasta offerings.I went with my mom for lunch and they had a special of hand cut fettuccine in this pesto green sauce with chicken meatballs, sun dried tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella. It was pretty damn good. Plus, you get to take home a classic pasta. I never get this promotion of buy one get one to take home but it must have worked for them. I always enjoy my meal here. Service is always ok. I never really recall a horrible experience after dining here for years. Oh also – if you order a cappuccino, you actually get one refill. Also, their desserts are great. My fave are the Nonna’s pound cake with caramelized banana and the lemon cookies. You also get free lemon cookies on birthdays. Yum!!
Fantastic service, fantastic food!. 6 years since I’ve been there and it was my husband’s first try. We had Joe as a server and he was absolutely wonderful. The food was beyond par, couldn’t ask for a better place to go for Italian!
Eh! Good service mediocre foodOrdered a veal piccata— veal was tough and the Angel Hair Pasta was like starch. Dry starch and coagulated. First time experiencing this st a Maggiano’s. be aware of this should you dine here
Expensive, but totally worth it. Loved the 4 cheese ravioli.
Great service, delicious food! Calamari is one of the best that I tried in this area (northwest subs). Love it
Poor Quality Italian. Atmosphere is great, you get a lot of food, but it is all poor quality. You can find much better italian food out there for far less money.
