I had breakfast here the other morning during my stay at the hotel. I am a big fan of corn beef hash, so decided to try their version. It was very good, not as good as my moms, but pretty yummy. Service was very prompt and I was even given a complimentary smoothie to try.

Unusual, but elegant, oval-shaped interior architecture. Extensive wine display is beautifully featured in a floor-to-ceiling, glass enclosed dining room. Filet mignon, medium-rare… perfection.

Does $150 for 2 people sound good?. The restaurant is located inside the beautiful Renaissance hotel and convention center in Schaumburg. This Washington D.C based steakhouse boasts a 350+ bottle wine list and jet fresh seafood. The restaurant is mostly a ghost town during the week. It basically survives off the people who are staying at the hotel for conventions. It is extremely expensive and the local patrons avoid this place like the plague. The food is average.. The steaks are all prime except for the filet mignon. The fish is fresh but the kitchen has a real hard time cooking the fish correctly, it either comes out raw or overcooked. The crab cakes are probably the best thing on the menu. There is minimal filler and is a majority of jumbo lump crab. The service can be hit or miss.. When they first opened there were a few of them that were outstanding. If there is not a party going on ask to be seated in the private dinning room in the center of the restaurant.
