Everyone told us we HAD to go to Portillo’s while in Chicago. Now don’t get me wrong, the food was decent (the chopped salad was better than the two different hot dogs we got), but there was nothing really great about our experience. Not somewhere I would have to go back to but not somewhere I wish I had avoided. Just an average restaurant.
Great food! First time here and was promptly seated. The menu selection was large with the prices very reasonable. I ordered the pot roast and some French onion soup. The service was reasonable, the food was hot and tasty and the portions were perfect! I will return the next time I’m in town.
