I was searching for place to taste my first hot dog in USA and Portillo’s had really good reviews so I decided to check it out. I took two different hot dogs and I can confirm that they are tasty. I had some hot dogs later in NYC and non of them were even close to the one’s in Portiollo’s. However – they were quite small for me, so if you like to eat – think about taking two 🙂
This was the first time I was having Greek food. We ordered Gyro plates and a Gyro sandwich. The meat was pretty good. And the quantity was more than adequate for an average person. I would say the overall taste was quite interesting, but nothing extraordinary. Maybe some other delicacies will change my opinion.
Love going to the one in Buffalo Grove and decided to give the Skokie location a chance since it’s close to home. First time I ordered out they got the order competely wrong. Gave it another shot today and got food poisoning. Hate to say it but might not even be able to eat at other location anymore either 🙁
