Came here for first time. Our waitress was very rude n snotty.. Food was distasteful. And salad dressing was like licking a piece of straw. No salt n pepper on tables.. Probably because they didn’t want us to actually season our food. Never return.
Great Experience. We were greeted with a smile at door and escorted to our seats. Our server was congenial and efficient. The Fettuccine Carbonara and French Dip were absolutely outstanding, and at a very reasonable price, considering the high quality. We will definitely have American Harvest on our list whenever we visit Springfield.
Good food and wine. We had salmon and mussels, both were great cooked perfectly. Only complaint was very loud and noisy not the place for a quiet romantic dinner
When u eat at a restaurant like this, you expect something special. Unfortunately it’s just not. It’s not bad, I just expect it to be better than it is for the price.
Awesome!! Tucked into a strip mall in Springfield IL, American Harvest might be easy to underestimate. Don’t! This is a gem in Central Illinois. For our anniversary dinner we splurged on the 6 course Chef’s tasting menu. Our charming waiter Nick asked about our preferences and allergies and then magic happened. Twelve different dishes over 2.5 hrs — every one unique, well prepared, with a lovely presentation. Heirloom tomatoes w farmers cheese serve with warm olives and large capers. Salad of beets and peaches w creme fraiche. Mussels with chorizo. … A lot of creativity. Foodie heaven!

A Wonderful Dining Experience. I visited American Harvest with a group and we ordered the 4 course meals for 38 dollars, chef’s choice, and we shared our dishes. The food was beyond expectation. I had heard that American Harvest was great, but I did not expect the quality and inventiveness of these dishes. Everything was unique, but blended really nicely with each other. I especially loved the meatballs with grits and an egg on top.
