I may try again, but only if I am close by. The menu looked very promising. I had one of the specials (quiche) – it was lacking in flavor; and the wine I paired it with must have been opened for too long. Then for my second course I tried braised short ribs – with a Cabernet. The Cabernet was wonderful. The meal lacked imagination and flavor. I’ll contribute it to the fact that it was the end of the night, but the service also sucked. I was greeted promptly enough; but to server rushed through the evenings specials and I had to ask him to repeat them. He seemed caught off guard when I asked about a tasting menu (guess I shouldn’t have looked at the table placards that were over a month old). Overall, not an experience where I long to revisit; but just average (at best). I hope your trail of the restaurant is better than mine. Bon appetite.
Augies Fan. I’ve never had a bad experience or a bad meal there. One of my favorite places to entertain.
Lovely food. We ate at Augies recently. Despite the old fashioned decor, the food was good and the service was excellent. We especially liked the lobster bisque.
One word for the food—AWFULSeared tuna was served cooked and not pink. Salmon was cold and had no taste.This is the 5th time I’ve tried the place and each time the food has been awful.Don’t waste your money.

A top notch restaurant. We had the Thrifty Thursday special. Everything from the food to the service was four stars. Can’t think of one thing that needs improvement. Recommended Very Highly
Solid food, good service. There are just too many whiners and chain food lovers on this site. Augies has an eclectic menu. You can find food here that you won’t get anywhere else in town. Try the elk if they have it, but make sure (as you must do everywhere) that it’s rare. Staff allows you to eat in peace – that would be called fine dining.
