My family and I were on our way to Chicago for a summer history based vacation, so a stop in Springfield was mandatory. I had already spotted this burger and custard joint during my pre-trip planning along with the local Maid Rite. The burgers were quite tasty although the order got mixed up. I do not prefer crinkle cut fries, so culvers was kneecapped from the get-go on the fries! Not their fault on that one! The real treat was the frozen custard! We are from Oklahoma, and we have a frozen custard/steakburger joint (Freddie’s). Culvers custard was by far a better product. I do, however, have to say that I like Freddie’s burgers and fries better!
