Great subs, horrible delivery service. As much as I love Head West subs, today was the absolute last time I will ever order from them. I work near the West Jefferson Street location and have ordered online from them three times for delivery. The first time I ordered from them, after my delivery was 45 minutes late, I called them and they assured me it was on the way. Twenty minutes later, I still had not received my order. I called again, and was assured it should be here any minute. Another 15 minutes went by and I called again. The person who answered said there was some confusion and he would make my sandwich and deliver it right away. Ten minutes later, I had my sandwich. Assuming they were just having a bad day that day, I ordered from them a second time. Same story. I ordered from them for the third time today and requested my delivery for 11:00 am. At 12:05, I had not received my sandwich, so I called. The person who answered the phone did not ask who I was or where I was. He simply said it should be here any minute and hung up on me! I called again to let him know that my order was supposed to be here at 11:00. He said it would be here soon. At 12:18 I received a call from them. The man on the phone told me that their computer screwed up and they just got my online order information and saw that it was supposed to be delivered at 11:00. He then asked me if I had received it yet. I replied that I had not received it, wondering why he would ask me if I had received it yet when he just stated that they just received my online order. He then asked me if I still wanted it. Of course I wanted it. I had not had any lunch. It was delivered within ten minutes. When the man delivered it, he apologized, I paid him and he left. Not once after any of these sad excuses for delivery service, for which they charge $3.00, did they ever offer me a discount on the current order or a future order. So, I am done.

Good food but terrible delivery time!. I am always pleased with the food but I literally live 10 minutes away MAX, and it took them an hour to deliver my food. I only ordered a sandwich and a soda. Next time I will forgo delivery. I am always a generous tipper but when I pay a $3 delivery fee and then have to tip for slow delivery, it makes for a bad tip. Good food but unless you want to wait at least an hour for your food, just order carry out.
Horrible. Ordered there for year and one day they put me on the blocked list for having a problem with them canceling orders on my debt card…..my card always had the right amount and they ruined and lost a good customer !!!!!!
Butcher paper.. Well…my title sums up why I love this place. There’s just something about the thick butcher paper.Oh, and the subs aren’t too shabby either 🙂 It’s just a cool atmosphere, great staff..tasty food. What’s not to love?
Love it!! Best food ever!!. Head West has an amazing atmosphere.Its very laid back and homey!! The subs are so amazing. Ive only had the veggie turkey and ham because I dont eat meat but Ive had friends get the meat subs and they love them just as well!! The workers are extremely chill and polite. Honestly i read alot of criticism on this site about them being too high to understand an order or them not meeting any or every standard you whiney ass consumers think they should meet. Honestly all you whiney people can go eat elsewhere and stop complaining about a personal choice the workers decide to do or your order getting messed up once. Everybody messes up in life and if they wanna toke up then let them and dont bitch about it. Its there life not yours and guess what you dont have to eat there. Im glad we have head west because its amazing and soooo yummy and its been #1 sub shop for so many years for a reason!!! Good work guys, keep it up!!
Never again!. All five times that I ordered from this place, delivery took over an hour and a half and they messed up my order. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I live five minutes away from the closest store. The guy who answered the phone this time around didn’t even listen to what I was saying. When I got my sandwich, it was soggy covered in sauce I didn’t want and there wasn’t a slice of cheese to be found. I don’t know if they’re so stoned out of their minds that they can’t comprehend making a two ingredient sandwich, but that is it. I’m done. Never ordering from there again.
