After living in Seattle and being spoiled with fresh seafood and sushi I didn’t really expect much from this mid-west seafood and steakhouse. But we were so wrong, my family and i LOVE Kiku! – Thanks Kiku
Kiku blows Osaka out of the water!! I love this place. Everything is so fresh and its locally owned. Not only that the owners well ALWAYS come out to your table and ask you how you experience was and make you feel really welcome. This place is cute and makes damn good food. I recommend everyone go here!!
It was a big disappointment.Dont recommend to anyone.Kiku is chichi
Best Sushi in Springfield!. Fresh! Excellent service.
Great rice, great veggies, ok steak. This is very standard hibachi except for a couple of points. First of all, the spicing on their fried rice and Asian-style vegetables is superior to most others’. They manage to make the fried rice very flavorful and it isn’t just an increase of salt that accounts for it… it’s just plain tasty to the point that I started neglecting other things on my plate. The filet mignon was a little tougher than it should be and mine was overcooked (I asked for medium, got well done) but overall I was very happy with it. They don’t serve a good wasabi steak sauce like most hibachi places do, but they do serve a ginger sauce that is good with steak as an alternative. The bento boxes looked cute as well. The portion is decent – out of 12 of us at the table, 10 of us finished our food and most of us were women so it isn’t exactly a mountain of food for $25. However, it’s enough and tasty. They didn’t even attempt to sell us dessert – just brought the check straight out after the dinner. I’d certainly go back, but I’d also be up for trying other hibachi first to see if their steak is tastier.
I agree that Sishi Chef is friendly, but Kiku seems primarily a Steakhouse – not a place for Sushi. We basically HAD to sit at the Sushi bar to have our sushi. Not an ideal sushi experience.
YUM!. Awesome food, GREAT service!
