Loved the anchovy bread. The chicken cacciatore was surprisingly really good. The salad was overdressed though so I couldn’t finish it. Overall, a really great time though!
Oh my goodness! Ya gotta try this place when you’re in Springfield! The food is good quality and there’s plenty of it!However, It’s the experience that makes this place so good; right from the start. The old-fashioned sign welcomes you to step into a world of the past. The other diners were old or old-school–sipping Manhattans, Old Fashions, Red Wine. The lighting was dim almost dark. A sign insisted that men have on clothes with sleeves. The owners were a touch put out that on a Saturday night we walked in at 6:00 p.m. without a reservation, yet quickly found us a table in the back, the waaaaay back in a private room as uninvited guests to a large family dinner party that was wrapping up. Everything about this place was an adventure that made us smile and the food was deliciously served with hot bread sliced as thick as your fist!I loved this experience. I hope you have as much fun as I did!
Went to an event Saturday night at Saputo’s about 35-40 people in the back room. Service sucked sat everybody at big round tables and only sat out one set of table dressings (salt pepper salad dressing bread basket) with 10 people at a table every one had to reach and pass and share every thing just not a good set up. The bread was good but they sat out one basket with 6 pieces in it, again a table of 10. Had to get are on drinks from the bar had to get are own bread. The salad was plain lettuce with a few pieces of tomato on it. Only two servers for a group that size just was not sufficient. food was served buffet style and tasted ok not great. The real trouble started late Saturday night when me and my wife spent the rest of the evening rushingto the toilet with stomach cramps.I concurred this with my sister and brother in-law they had the same stomach issues. I will never go back to Saputo’s
