Just got home from Hibachi Grill Supreme Buffet. Let me tell everyone now, I wouldn’t feed this to a stray dog. The stir fry that usually has decent veggies in it was replaced with random meats in random sauces with sad, old looking veggies (if you dug i think there were veggies). Furthermore, the service is TERRIBLE! We were there for about 30 minutes or so, each tried to eat one plate (and failed) and didn’t even get refills on our drinks. The bill was over 40 dollars, almost 50. We took this to the man behind the register (the manager, maybe even owner.. i’m unclear.) He stated we had been there 40 minutes and took off like ten dollars. When I pointed out how gross the food was, he claimed the gross food was our fault, not theirs. I started to feel ill moments after leaving and am still nauseous. Point is, we no longer have a decent Chinese buffet. I’m almost positive we just over paid for the three of us to enjoy a small dose of food poisoning… thank God we didn’t eat more! DRIVE FURTHER FOR BETTER FOOD!!! Virden has a small Chinese buffet that is owned by a sweet younger couple with the most adorable kid. You would NEVER get this service there.. This place used to be ASTOUNDING… Now, it’s TERRIBLE! I would give it 0 stars if I could.

All of their food are extremely salty! No wonder people are getting fatter and dying of heart attacks. We stopped going because it got saltier everytime we went. Also the grill sucks. They purposely add water to your stir fry so you get full quicker and eat less of their buffet meals. Who wants soggy fried rice? Go to golden dragon instead. Their honey spiced chicken is to die for!
You get what you pay for. Like most buffets this one has tons of food and desserts but as with most buffets you sacrifice quality for quantity. Has a chocolate fountain for dipping dessert in but after watching numerous little kids getting fingers dipped with chocolate i decided to pass. Okay sushi and mediocre wait staff but I left fat and happy so 5/10 rating from me.
Nice Treat for weekend lunch. Four of us visited at what we thought would be lunch rush on a Saturday afternoon. We found a very clean facility including the tables, carpet, tile, and areas near/around food, with plenty of seating options. Tile around the fountain was slippery. Environment is open and expansive, similar to what you’d expect to find in Las Vegas. Waitresses cleared our plates as soon as we set them to the side and all dishes were hot and fresh. More entree variety than the other similar establishments in town and LOTS more room to move around. With the multi-layered circular lay-out of the multiple buffets it was difficult to keep track of which ones I’d visited. The chocolate fountain appeared a bit clumpy-perhaps not formulated/mixed properly? Will probably have to return 2-3 more times to properly evaluate and try more dishes, but for first-visit, was impressed with value, variety, cleanliness and service.
!!!. I was there with two of my friends. We were not impressed with the food. It’s the same food you can get at any other chinese restaurant in the Springfield area. One thing they did serve on the buffet was fried scallops. However, they were not scallops. Not even seafood. It was just an egg noodle wrapped into a disc with breadcrumbs on it. As we were putting food on our plates, the food bar stockers would literally push you out of the way. Very rude people. Some of the waitresses had tattoos on their hands and looked like gang members. We will NEVER go back there again.
Off to a Great Start!. My family and I went on my birthday (their second day open) and it was really tasty! They have a fondue fountain (which actually got clogged and broke while we were there – I don’t see it staying very long, most likely due to people dropping items in it) as well as MANY buffet tables full of hot foods, desserts, salad fixins, a great selection of sushi, some of which I’d never seen before… and it’s really pretty inside. I definitely plan on returning.Unfortunately I forgot to actually photograph the food because I was too busy eating EVERYTHING.
