Lunch buffet offers a wide choice of main dishes, sides, salads, and dessert. The employees are welcoming, and patient with those of us who are not sure what we are looking at. Each item I sampled had a different flavor, yet each morsel complimented the other foods. Can’t wait to return(and I’ll take photos!)
Tried there lunch buffet.. And maybe I m a little biased as coming from India I expected the food to be a little more spicy but having said that the food was not bland as well.. So that have been able to maintain a OK balance between the both… The buffet spread was pretty basic with 2 choices of starters and then veg dishes about 3 to 4 and the same number of non veg dishes…. The highlight was the mango ice cream.. Which was great…
Reading the reviews made me a bit skeptical but I saw that they were from 4 years ago. And it must have changed because the food was delicious. The food was fresh and full of flavor even it being a Thursday night. The chicken fell apart with a fork and was nice and jucy. Will go again.
This place is fantastic. They gave us wonderful service, and also have fabulous food. If we weren’t about to leave the area, I know we would become regulars. In fact, we handed some menus to hand out around base. This place deserves to be packed for every meal.
Bad, bad experience! I have been to many Indian Resturants in the US and abroad and I have to say that I had the worst experience ever at Aroma. Ordered 3 dishes an after they arrived four out the rice did not come with the dishes this was a separate item you needed to order. In addition the naan bread arrived cold, after speaking to the mgr he tried to explain that this was the why naan should be severed. If you plan to go make sure you order extra as the dishes are very small. Usually 3 orders will feed 5 people on my group but this time we had to order additional food. My recommendation is don’t even bother with dining at Aroma.
Bad food…. We have been going to the indian outlets in the Vernon Hills area for over 5 yrs now.. Regulars at The Peacock , with people raving about Aroma we thought we’ll try it on a Wed evening…. It was the worst indian food we had ever had. All curries had the same taste and they were cooked in the same curry. Service was just okay but when you order 4 disdes and they taste the same it puts you off… We will never ever go back and wont recommend anyone to go there. So far Peacock has been the best Indian food we ever had, I guess thats how they have been going strong since the last 20 years. With the new management at Pecock they have just got better… Sorry guys Aroma was a big dissapointment….
Below Standard Indian Food Ever. We had been to this restaurant last week for dinner and order some appetizer along with grilled / tawa vegetables. Also got some chicken and vegetable curries.They were below average in taste. Quantity is very less and prices are pretty high for the quality and quantity.Finally we ordered some masala tea and that was extremely bad. It was tasteless and surprisingly when this was told to the waiter, they thought we must be joking and never seem to make a change.If you donot want to waste money and spoil your taste bud, then not going here is the right decision
