Avoid this place like the plague. The food is HORRIBLE and overpriced. hamburger and bun were greasy and flavorless. The fish and chips were straight out of the box. Gorton’s frozen fish would have been better. The fries were cold and soggy. for $16.00 we expected something better than frozen fish sticks, The chicken chopped salad first arrived without the chicken. The tomatoes in the salad were frozen SOLID and the dressing was inedible. DO not eat here. I can’t think of a single positive thing to say.

We took our daughter to dinner at the Vernon Hills location, chef Andy cooked our dinner and entertained us. Everything was cooked perfectly, filet was cooked medium rare and my scallops were cooked golden brown but not chewy and seasoned to perfection. My fried rice was flavorful but not sweet because I don’t like teriyaki sauce on it and chef Andy remembered. The golden shrimp was tender and bursting with flavor too. I would also like to give Sushi chef Ricky 2 thumbs up on his special ceviche he made for me using my favorite fish (yellow tail, tuna and salmon) which he mixed with spring salad mix, cucumbers and jalapeos. My daughter and I cleaned the plate. The whole Sushi team at the Vernon Hills location is top notch from our past experience. Our waitress was someone we never had before, she was efficient and attentive. I can’t wait to go back. The hosts working are always friendly and they always thank us as we leave. Outstanding service from start to finish.

Best of the tappenyaki style restaurants in the area. High marks for show & food. The menu is rather diverse for this kind of restaurant. You can get shrimp four different ways – golden, garlic, hibachi & teriyaki. You will pay a premium for this place but you will get what you are paying
