Its one of the few places in Chi Town which serves good Indian/Pakistani food. Its small and crowded sometimes, but worth for their buffet. They serve beginning early morning and well into late night.
My husband had one request for our visit to his home area. He had to have a beef from Portillo’s. I got a hot dog, Chicago style, and it was not any better than hot dogs served Chicago style that I get at home. I tried his beef, it was nothing exceptional. Overall, the food wasn’t bad, it just didn’t wow me.
I visited Chicago for a two day trip. On my friends recommendation we travelled some 37 miles to have dinner at Naan on Devon Street and I don’t regret for travelling so long with difficulty in finding parking. Being an Indian food lover. I had Mutton chops, haleem, chicken masala and phulkas. Trust me the taste was so authentic with correct level of spiciness as we have in India. I have visited many Indian restaurants in Detroit, New York and Chicago, this ranks number one among all because many Indian restaurants don’t give the right amount of spice because of their geographical location and to accommodate western customers. Keep it up Naan on Devon.
