If you’re looking for a country-style ambiance that often has old TV shows playing on a tiny TV well, have I got a place for you! Finding the patio out back is a journey itself. In all seriousness though, I have only come here for brunch and have never been disappointed. The specials tend to be where it’s at, with the chorizo chilaquiles being an ok general menu option. I ordered the chicken fried steak with sawmill gravy, potatoes, eggs, and toast. It was quite good, even though I don’t tend to be a fan of any gravy. My girlfriend’s breakfast chimichangas were huge and delicious when I ate the large amount leftover later that night. Eventually I plan on getting around to the chicken that I suppose they’re predominantly known for.
Outstanding!. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love Feed. My sister-in-law brought us here when we were visiting Chicago and we were lucky enough to be able to walk in and grab a seat right away (that wasn’t the case five minutes after we got there, though). First and foremost, this is a cash-only location, so make sure to come prepared. Secondly, I have to say that this is the best service I have ever had at a small establishment. I really wish I would have snagged our waiter’s name, but I failed to. I can tell you this — I wish every server was cloned from this guy. He was prompt, he was friendly, he was knowledgeable and he made our experience better than it would have been without him. He even had an off-menu item made for me when we were chatting about fried tomatoes, and it was amazing (and should be on the menu!). We tried a bevy of items, and they were all good. A second visit proved it wasn’t a fluke, by the way. Excellent food, no matter what you order. From breakfast to brunch and lunch and beyond, you really can’t go wrong with Feed. Fresh food. Cooked to order. Tasty! Try it. You won’t be disappointed.
Brunch is supposed to be amazing, yet dinner is pretty average.
I guess I don’t really get it. All the humbolt park locals I know love Feed but I dont think it deserves the cult following it has. The food is pretty good, don’t get me wrong, but if some young white 30-something starts raving about Feed, take it with a grain of salt. It’s good, but it won’t change your life.
Overall great little restaurant! The food was delicious and the customer service was outstanding! I visted from out of town with a large group (8), and everyone got the food in a timely manner and enjoyed it.
I live all the way in wheaton and try to make that way at least once a month on Monday that gumbo is just great you can’t beat it in the city
Never a disappointment!. I eat here about once a week and the food is always delicious! Best brunch I’ve had in the city. The broasted chicken is always a great option for dinner, and the juicy burgers, and…Check out the specials too- I’ve never been disappointed and the prices are amazing!
