The slow cooked pork and hush puppies were great but I’m not used to vinegar- based barbecue sauces so was expecting a sweeter and stickier basting sauce. Also, the ribs were not falling off the bone, which is expected from good barbecue joints, so that was a bit disappointing. This place is ok but I wouldn’t go out f my way to go back.
MSG ruined it. Had a lovely dining experience … whilst i was there. Got home to realize that I was having an MSG reaction. The food must be loaded with it … it is now 4 am and I am unable to sleep, have consumed a 2 litre bottle of water … and the reason is MSG (aka, yeast extract, hydrolyzed vegetable protein). If you don’t have that concern, worry not. If you do, then stay away. Food was good. Too bad … they don’t really need the MSG to make it work.26 May, 2014Good … But Watch the MSG. Serendipity. Just happened upon Lille Qs while cruising North Ave on Saturday nite. Very pleasantly surprised. Nice atmosphere, neighborhood kind of place, Knowledgeable wait staff, very friendly. I had the baby back ribs, my girlfriend ordered a chicken quarter. Both came without sauce, you add that yourself from the 6 different sauces that are on every table. Both very good. we also had the hush puppies for an appetizer. Sides are extra, we got cole slaw and mac and cheese. All very tasty. We both ordered a raspberry flavored beer which was excellent. Two beers each and food totaled $65. That I really liked.
Lillie’s is a fantastic BBQ restaurant with craft barbecue sauce and melt in your mouth pulled pork sandwitchs and ribs. This is an amazing restaurant for any BBQ lover.

No Highchairs, really?. How can a restaurant now have highchairs? Iknow of bars that even have highchairs. We went to Lillie Qs on North Ave and they had no highchairs. The waitress said it’s not that we are not kid friendly, WHATEVER. I could understand not having room but not to even have one single high chair. Luckily my friends texted me that so I ran home and brought the small one that attaches to the chair. On top of that our service was slow and it was no busy at all
