We had a visit to Shree restaurant on Diwali in Westmont. A decent place for family dining, interior is also traditional but yet modern.No doubt from the minute we entered in restaurant I could feel that service was not that good, as they were non-interested for entertaining the customers. We had to wait quite a long to order and to get the order on the table..We had Aloo tikki and onion bhajiya for appetizers,aloo tikki was crisp as well as soft .We tried Dal Makhani, Malai Kofta and Paneer Dosa. Paneer Dosa is my all time favorite, but this one was very tangy in taste because of the presence of a lot of tomatoes, which was overcoming the freshness and creaminess of paneer…I have heard lots of praise about this Indian restaurant but I found it overrated and over-hyped. instagram.com

Good food but worst attitude and service. We used to like Food from Shree so obviously we get tempation to go there again. We overlooked the fact that even if we are there first (Indian), we get discriminated if some white skinned group shows up. They are treated first while we wait. They are served Pappadam while we are still waiting for our water. We brought this to the previous manager’s attention and then it was changed for a bit just to be the same again.After moving to Sugar Grove and working in Downtown, it is not possible to go for their buffet ( M-F) unless it is day off. We wasted our precious day off last wedneday. We went there with our parents. We were going to buy buffet and we just asked to see if in case we could order something from the menu for them without onion and garlic or what items could they eat from buffet. In stead of talking nicely or at least showing little interest to help, 2 guys in suit just bluntly said, sorry we have nothing and we can’t make anything from the menu. OK..we could still go for buffet as there are sweets, Idly and rice and naan and pickle..enough for old parents, right? As I walked towards buffet to check what they have, we were again stopped, sorry we don’t have anything. I was looking at them whether they understand English or not that we could at least buy 2 buffets for me and my husband and if they can not give sweets to the parents, we could buy buffet for them as well..But such a nonsense idiotic attitude, ticked me off, we walked out and probably not cater from there again or not recommend to anyone at least I know again. Even if food is mediocre, good service covers the flaw. But in absolutely empty restaurant, if you have attitude that we don’t want your business, you got it, dude. You lost our business and our recommendadtion.
Shree is tasty. I have been to Shree multiple times and usually order the same thing every time. We love the samosas, delicious and spicy! I also like the mutter paneer. Food always consistently good.
WORST FOOD AND WORST SERVICE. This is the worst indian vegetarian restaurant. They serve you with rotten food, we ordered samosa and they served may be a weeks old just heated and decorated…and when we complained they didnt even bothered to feel sorry…and for channa batura they made it so untidily that i got a card board in batura…Taste is worst … very high price for the rotten food..please be perepared to eat atleast 2 weeks old food and be ready to pay for it becoz the manager is very SHAMELESS to bill you eventhough we show him the card board pieces…
