To try out the award winning BBQ sauce,we visited this place today..I am so impressed with the interior and service. We had Uncle Bub’s Sample Platter with fried Mac n cheese,hand cut French fries and corn bread. The platter includes 3 BBQ back ribs, pulled pork, BBQ sliced beef brisket, rib tips and BBQ chicken. Everything tasted wonderful, BBQ sauce indeed deserved to be awarded. Chicken wings were very tender and juicy. We did tried there ice cream as well.. instagram.com
Cute spot, nice menu, and very good service. Sadly though, the food fell way short of what should be expected from a BBQ joint. We had tips, brisket, and ribs that all tasted very dry and old…almost as if they were from the day before and microwaved. One of the meals had foil in it which suggests that it’s cooked way ahead of time and covered. The manager was made aware of the concerns and corrected them with a fresh order, but for us it’s not worth the aggravation, or fear of illness. It was our first, and likely, our last visit.
Nationally award winning BBQ. Great clean family place, super service and a menu that is top to bottom awesome. Cute and comfortable restaurant on the Main Street (Cass Ave. just south of downtown Westmont).
Does not compare with other bbq joints in Chicago AT ALL
