Bought a groupon for 2; just me and my husband. I ordered the vegetarian cavatelli and asked for sauteed veggies to be added to the dish. Much to my surprise, the veggies came in a separate bowl (peas, mushrooms, onions), but didn’t think anything of it & simply spooned them into my dish. When the bill came we quickly noticed I was charged $15 for the veggies, MORE than my meal or my husband’s chicken meal. We figured it was just a typo and asked our server. He said it was correct, that he had asked the owner what to charge me. I explained that was unreasonable and he should have told me that upfront, because I certainly wouldn’t have ordered them had I known. WHO CHARGES LIKE THAT? $30 for vegetarian pasta? Really?We told the waiter that they just lost a customer over the price gouging & he just shrugged his shoulders. Most waiters would say, No, No, let me see what I can do. But he was unsympathetic and let us leave. Our meal cost us $85 with tip + the cost of the groupon … no salad, no dessert … just 2 meals & drinks. NEVER AGAIN! You cannot treat people like that and expect us to come back.
