One of the liveliest pubs in Buffalo Grove near Chicago. They have Bourbon and all kinds of hard liquor bottles stacked till the ceiling making the decor quite interesting and innovative. This is the place to catch up with your buddies, cheering for your baseball or basketball teams. Sides with drinks are plenty on offer with nacho mixes, fried chicken with sauces, cheese balls, pita breads with cheese sauce being clearly popular choices. One can spot cosy private dinning spaces too beside the fireplace. A teetotaler like me was also left surprised with the variety of non alcoholic beverages on offer.
We heard that one of the things to do in Chicago was to go to Portillo’s for a hot dog. The place is unique with lots of strange and wonderful things to look at. There’s a 1930’s Chevy in there! There was a queue for food but the staff were very quick. The food and the service were excellent. Good atmosphere and at less than three dollars for a delicious hot dog, definitely worth a visit.
