The place is nice on the inside for a small town eatery. However, my friends potato skins (all she ordered to eat) were SO dry and it seemed they had been sitting there or microwaves before it was brought out. My food was okay and I shared with her. However the prices were way too much for the quality of food. I do not plan on going back.
I had my son’s wedding rehearsal dinner at 3rd & Main. There were 40 people in our party and it went seemless. Every food item that came out was perfectly prepared! Chef Josh was very tentative to us and truly cared! Being from out of town I am so happy I choose 3rd & Main. We will be back especially for the Shrimp n Grits and the Pasta Toscana!
We were passing through Aurora when we discovered this gem of a restaurant. The head chef comes to Third and Main from time spent working in the Jeff Ruby restaurants. As part owner along with other family members, it apparent from all the dishes that he was a very good student. Great complex sauces and layers of flavors highlight just about everything on the menu. The shrimp and grits were promoted as a specialty and after one bite I felt like I had settled on the back patio of a New Orleans bistro.The restaurant has a nice casual atmosphere and serves great bar food to complement a well furnished bar. Contrast this vibe with food in the dining room and on a secluded back patio that could be served in any five star restaurant and you can see why this place is must go to destination.
Gets even better. Visited last Saturday. Friendly greeting, Service excellent, and the menu keeps getting better!!! (as if that was even possible).Had a super visit and the Corn/Crab Chowder was perfect. Keep up the good work and see you folks again soon.
This Place Rocks.. Great food and hospitality. Have local musicians that are fun and fabulous too. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. Love it. Debi Graham, Cincinnati, Ohio
Great Food!. 3rd and Main has excellent food and drinks, a little pricey for the average couple , but would go on special dates. Really enjoyed the friendly staff and ribs, steak and bacon cheeseburger potato skins.
A must visit tucked away in Aurora. I challenge anyone to find a restaurant with much skill and desire as this one. The food fantastic, the wait staff courteous and friendly, the chef and general manager available and accommodating. A great rehabbed building makes you feel comfortable and invited. The food selection is varied and the best available selections. The wine list short but full of great selections, cocktails are varied and fun. The new pastry chef brings classic dessert with flavorful twists. All and all a place I recommend highly and will be back with friends to share this quaint place.
