Max & Erma’s is pretty good for a chain restaurant. I’ve always enjoyed every meal over the years. I’ve tried to dine here twice for lunch since it is so close to work. Both times I was late getting back from my hour lunch because it took so long to get my food. I realize this is not a fast food establishment but there are other full-service restaurants in the area that I go to for lunch and get back in time. It’s worth a visit if you’re craving a burger in the Edinburgh area and you’re not in a hurry.
This is now the closest Max’s to our home and is worth the drive. I loved their southern fried chicken salad with honey mustard dressing. And we have tollow that with their chocolate chip cookies. Very good place to eat.

This place is terrible at service. We had to wait 20 mins to get our drink orders, 30 mins for the food. My food comes out and my girlfriends doesn’t. We wait another 15 mins and the management neglected to tell us that they don’t have pasta. So after 1.5Hours my girlfriend is left with no food and that is clearly enough to piss anyone off.
Stopped at M&E after an afternoon of shopping at the outlet. After a short wait, we were seated. It took forever for the server to come take the drinks order; we ordered our food at the same time we ordered drinks, but it took a very long time to get the food; when it came, everything was very cold, it seemed like the food sat for a long time before the server brought it to our table. I ordered cheese skewers, and they were not very good. How do you mess up fried cheese? Have had similar experiences in another M&E in the Carmel area.
YUM!. I love love love this restaurant! Their food is AMAZING. They have some really excellent wait staff. The tortilla soup is to die for and the kids love the sundae bathtub bar.
Food is good as usual at Max & Erma’s, but do avoid having Matthew as your waiter. He is a chubby, frustrated standup comic whose routine comes off as just overly snide rather than humorous.
