Delicious Brunch!. A friend took us to Farm for brunch and wow, what a superb brunch! I had the poutine – egg, gravy, (subbed in) goat cheese and tomatoes. It was soooo good! I live in Indy, but would be willing to drive down for their brunch again! I also love that they are using local ingredients.

Returned to Farm for dinner this weekend. Their breakfast/brunch is still great, but we won’t go back for dinner. Their signature fries were served cold and they had obviously kept them crisp with cornstarch. I ordered a pasta that could have been on any family restaurant menu. Our friends ordered Bananas Foster, which should have been stellar. The chef didn’t burn off the rum so it was just raw liquor poured over ice cream. Inedible. Sadly, we spoke with our server – who was excellent – and the chef clearly had no idea how to properly prepare it. I hope they can turn this place around as it used to have excellent food.

Not a fan. This is one of those annoying places. they want you to think of it as upscale with a bit of folksy vibe to it.you can’t get a nice, regular kind of meal, they make stuff with annoying, obscure ingredients to justify their high prices so you think you are enjoying ‘fine dining’ frankly i am not impressed by those places at all. they are overrated and people eat at those places to feel smart when they are actually idiots for doing so.i remember once getting some turkey dinner for thanksgiving and it was nothing remarkable but it was expensive. thankfully, i only go when someone else is buying because i wouldn’t pay a dime for their food.

Quality food and excellent service. My wife had done a bit of research before we arrived in Bloomington, so popped in for breakfast while staying at the nearby Biddle hotel for a Sherlock Holmes conference on the IU campus. Excellent meal with all farm to table local ingredients, right down to the house made ketchup, which I didn’t actually use as the potatoes were perfectly seasoned in their own right. Chef Daniel Orr knows what he’s doing with the ‘real food’ approach and I give FARM top marks for presentation, quality of ingredients and an excellent staff to deliver the goods. My only quibbles, and these are due to personal preference, is that I found the peppered bacon rather too crisp and one of my over-easy eggs wasn’t as runny as I’d like, but I’d return in a heartbeat.

Great brunch high quality and large portions. Excellent biscuits with great home made jelly. I had the Hoosier poutine and the gravy was fantastic.

People and their reviews. I have been reading too many comments about service being slow. When it is an issue with the food or drinks from the bar taking a long time, it is not the service staffs fault. It is the result of high volume of customers with not enough space to make drinks and food very quickly. I also read a review about someone paying 12$ for french fries with season salt and that is hilarious. There famous fries loaded with fresh garlic, lemon zest, parmesan, herbs, and pepper flakes have never been more than $8.50. Are you sure you were at Farm? Also, if you were able to find a spot on a packed night, don’t expect food to take any less than 30 minutes. Common sense.

The tempura avocado was great. The purple haze cocktail was amazing. Richie was my server and the service was excellent. Slightly expensive, but everything was good
