Rude and Unprofessional. I called Sandy to make an appointment to discuss a wedding cake, since my fiance and I are getting married this summer. When I spoke with her on the phone, she was very short with me and came off sort of rude. She told me she could not meet with me because she was too busy, so I waited a few weeks and called back again to make an appointment. Again, she was very short with me, but scheduled my appointment.My fiance and I showed up to the appointment 15 minutes early, and looked through the pictures of her cakes while we waited. These pictures were very outdated and I did not find anything even close to what I wanted. However, I hoped that she could pull off the look I wanted anyway. So we waited… and waited… and waited. Sandy was in the back decorating cupcakes, and could clearly see us and knew that we were there for our appointment because the man who works there (I’m assuming her husband) went back there to remind her 3 times. We waited until 5:20… TWENTY MINUTES AFTER OUR APPOINTMENT… and she STILL didn’t even come to greet us. She just kept working on her cupcakes. I found this to be extremely rude and unprofessional, so we just walked out.I will not return to Sandy’s Custom Cakes, and I would not recommend this place. I will be going elsewhere, where the employees and owners have some respect and professionalism.
I have four kids and consider myself something of a birthday cake connoisseur. We have used Sandy’s for every single birthday party since we moved to the area in 1999. Her cakes taste wonderful and are always decorated beautifully. My girls already know she will be making their wedding cakes. I highly recommend Sandy’s Custom Cakes.
Best Cakes. This place has the best cakes. Sandy did my wedding cake and I go to her all big events. Never been disappointed.
