If you like to much salt on your food this is the place. We went on half price wine night and the server was very good at directing us to wines that didn’t qualify. Second time here do feel we have it a fair chance.
Enjoyed our dinner. First time visit here this past Friday evening. Good service, good atmosphere, good food, decent portion size. Only miss here was that the bread was a bit salty. We will return.
First visit to Biaggi’s. Great decor, great atmosphere. Good service, friendly staff. Good salad. Excellent lobster corn chowder. We had bad luck with the main dishes. Pepperoni Stromboli was very salty, both outside and inside. Rigatoni ala Bolognese was basically Rigatoni noodles swimming in the fat from the Italian sausage. I mentioned this to the server who was quick to remove that item from the bill. Was really let down for a first impression.
Gluten-free paradise. Dined here for the first time on 6/27/14 with my wife. I’m gluten-free. she’s not. Before dinner, they brought some bread to the table and I asked if they had gluten free, which they did. Unlike pretty much every other restaurant on the planet, it was hot, crisp and delicious. So good, in fact, that I ordered a gluten-free pizza with my salad and it, too, was perfect. So good, in fact, that I asked if I could take home some frozen dough, to which our waitress readily agreed, at $1 a throw. My wife’s meal was good too–broiled scallops risotto–other than the asparagus sauce was too salty. Overall, a great experience. If you try to avoid gluten and want a terrific dining out experience, I recommend this place wholeheartedly. I’ve never taken the time to review a restaurant, but this was simply outstanding and deserving of notice.
Two of us ordered their chicken cannelloni. Big mistake. The pasta was hard, not because it was under cooked but because it was over baked. It was actually dark brown around the edges. I had to eat half of one of the shells before coming to my first bite of chicken. However, their tomato soup was very good.
Great prebirthday lunch!!! Warm, engaging staff…great decor. The half plate combo menu of crab/shrimp cannelloni in lobster cream with a REAL PROPER Caesar salad. I’m rather a lunch special snob, but this was perfect:)
Poor customer service. Had dinner there shortly after it opened. Sat at a table in the bar. Turned out the table was telescopic and was not properly secured. Table top fell onto our laps three times before they could find us another table. Our waiter was very apologetic and said he would recommend to the manager that he comp our cocktails. However, when the manager came to our table to apologize, all he did was ask how our drinks were. Food was not good enough to put up with a rude manager.
