Best Biscuits and Gravy in Town. After reading a few reviews based on the biscuits and gravy, I simply cannot understand how people judge the food badly. I have been through culinary school myself, and am hard pressed to be able to make gravy as good as Blu Moon. My egg of choice for my gravy is always over easy, and am never disappointed. The runniness of the egg complements the rest of the dish perfectly. I love this place, and love the people there too. I always stop when I am in the area to try a little something new, just to expand my horizons a little bit, and I assure you will never be disappointed.12 Jul, 2013Awesome Breakfast & Lunch Place. If you are in Carmel, and want to actually eat good food, go to Blu Moon Cafe. This place is by far one of the freshest eateries around. I have it on inside information that there is absolutely nothing served here that is not made fresh. This is a top priority for me since I have an easily upset stomach. Everything I have ever tried here has been fantastic, and I usually make a trip once, if not twice a week. i think everyone should do the same and try the BBT salad, its one of the best things invented!
Horrible food, horrible service. I was there yesterday with my husband and sister, for breakfast. They must not serve many eggs, because they certainly don’t know how to cook them. We both ordered eggs over easy, mine were ok but the edges were over cooked and crunchy. My sisters’ eggs came out extremely running, very disgusting. When we told the server, she seemed a little surprised, but took the plate. She was back a few minutes later with the hash browns and toast still on the original plate. She told my sister that she would at least have something to eat until her eggs were done, That in itself was bad enough, most restaurants would have brought an entirely new serving. My husband and I were done eating by the time they brought the replacement eggs, and my sister had eaten her hash browns. So as she cut into her new eggs, they were not over easy at all, but were totally cooked through and tough. She gave up on the eggs and we left, sorry that we had ever found this place. It is a funky place with artsy dcor, but I would not recommend it for breakfast if you are looking for a simple egg and considerate service.
Delicious Food!. We ate here for Brunch on Saturday. We sat outside and it was really nice. The server we had was efficient, and polite. I ordered a wrap (no meat) and one of their salads with lentils and both were delicious. My partner ordered a sandwich and the egg salad and said it was the best egg salad he had ever tasted. I would recommend this place; we will be back!
I’ve never written a bad review, but Blu Moon just inspired me to do so. I had the baked ratatouille and my companion had the biscuits and gravy. No flavor in either. Will not be returning.
Customer. Blu Moon is an amazing place for lunch but even better for catering! I use them all the time for different events. Scott the manager & Shelly the owner always come through for me and design a menu based around my budget!! I couldn’t say enough great things about their quality, service and great food!!! Diana D.
First experience this morning. I had breakfast to go to bring back to my wife. Overall, great experience. Service was very friendly. I think the owner served me, she was super nice. The coffee was pretty mediocre. Not bad, but not great. The vibe was super cool. The pastries were great. My wife and I split their version of a Ding Dong and a pecan sticky bun. Both were very good, but the Ding Dong was awesome. Next time I’ll try their home made Pop-Tarts. My wife and I also split a couple entrees. I really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, but they aren’t traditional if that’s what you want. They have some tomato to the gravy, and chorizo, too. Very good, but different. Also had their French toast which was super good. Based on this experience, I’d give it a 7/10, but it was to go, so it could be higher next time. I could see it becoming a favorite for sure.
Amazing!. This is by far my favorite sandwich cafe place in town. You have got to try their BLT. It has the perfect combination of flavors and texture. The staff there is so friendly and are quick to remember you and your order (if you become a regular). I definitely recommend this place.
