Best restaurant I’ve been too. The staff is awesome and the food is even better. A very cool joint to check out if you’re looking for some authentic Cajun.

Best Cajun food I have had outside of New Orleans. The owner is from that area, and knows his stuff! Having been to New Orleans a few times, and being a big fan of the Po’ Boy sandwich…this place was a must! I recommend the Catfish Po’ Boy with their special sause, and a side order of the Chicken Boullion, or the Crawfish Cassarole. They serve INCREDIBLE Beignets as well if you want a sweet treat.

Never been to New Orleans, but this place is awesome. Mudbugs Cafe is well worth a visit. The pick 2 and pick 3 deals let you sample a few dishes. I enjoyed talking with the owner, who is from Louisiana and grew up eating and cooking traditional cajun cuisine.

Real Deal / Authentic Food. Real authentic seasoning on All the dishes to make them unique, any item on pick 3 Clearly the most authentic taste out side of N.O.Best description: Good Eats, Good ambience Clean restaurant, Friendly staff.

Good, but not as good as the others. Between Yats, B’s, Papa Roux, and Chef Dan’s, there is a lot of competion for best cajun restaurant in Indy. My wife and I tried this place out hoping it was as good as the others, and it wasn’t. I got a pick 3 of pork po’boy, jambalaya, and shrimp etouffee. The etouffee was good, the jambalaya was bland, and the po’boy had the wrong kind of bread. They had really good remoulade, which came with my wife’s chicken po’boy. The chicken on her po’boy was nothing special, but the hush puppies are really good. Overall, Mudbug’s was good, but not great.

One of my favorite places to eat! The chicken & sausage jambalaya is amazing. The food is on the complex flavorful side and not spicy hot. If you’re new, ask for a sample plate and then order the Pick 3 (good luck picking only 3!)

Great food, service and atmosphere.. It was my step-dads birthday and being from the south I was nervous to find some good authentic cajun food…Well Mudbugs delivered. We ordered almost everything on the menu, Po’boys, gumbo, jambalaya, catfish, dirty rice…you name it, Everything was AMAZING! We especially enjoyed the hushpuppies and beignets! Oh and the homemade remoulade sauce was excellent as well. The service was great and we loved the atmosphere (the music was fabulous). All in all we had a wonderful dinner and we will DEFINITELY be back! My step-dad was still talking about it the next day…I think it reminded him a litlle of home :)(The picture below is just one of the four meals, it was the catfish basket with dirty rice on the side.)
