Disappointed. Today we went there for a late Saturday afternoon lunch. When we got there there was one another patron. Rest of the restaurant was empty. The wait staff did not smile. Water was not offered until after 7-8 mins us at the table even though there was no one for them to tend to. They were busy playing candy crush and conversing amongst themselves while we had to pretty much wait on them for water. No silverware for the salad. We had to ask for it. We asked for kiddie cup for the child. Their expression was puzzled and annoyed as if we asked for something out of the ordinary. We ordered green curry with chicken. It had flavor. Salt was less. Certainly wasn’t anything special to write home about. Basil fried rice was good. Volcano Shrimp was standard fare made gimmicky with the sizzle on the hot plate. Our disappointment was the service we received (or lack thereof) on a quiet Saturday afternoon. I would have rated 1 star. Because of the above average food I am rating them as 2. Save yourself the trouble. If you feel like eating Thai go to Thai Taste near Castleton. These guys don’t deserve your business.
Everything we had was excellent. They served a starter slaw with a sweet vinigarish dressing. We then had shrimp blankets that were hot and crispy. I always get Tom Ka and this place nailed it. I got it medium and it was just enough. Entrees were Pad Thai and the whole fried tilapia with sweet and sour sauce. The sauce was mixed in with pineapple, red pepper, ginger, carrots and onion. I will be back to try curry
For the lunch special, it’s $8 and you get the main course, salad, soup, AND a spring roll! The chicken red curry is really tasty! But the mild has no spicy taste, so get the medium or hotter if you want it spicy!! Plus, the Thai iced tea is also the perfect Drink to go along with the lunch!
Ate here with some friends recently. The wait staff was wonderful and our food was great. There are many good Thai restaurants in Indianapolis and this is one of them. Would return back here again!
A Neighborhood Gem. Tucked behind Scotty’s on Main Street in Carmel, and across the Monon from Bub’s lies Pad Thai. It has quickly become a family favorite, and we think, serves the best Thai food in the area. Everything we have had on our numerous visits has been fantastic, and beautifully presented. The wait staff are kind and attentive, and they take great pride in their work and their restaurant. And, if you have a picky child in your family (as we do) you’ll be happy to know they also offer chicken fingers on a children’s menu. 🙂 Although, picky eater has figured out that she loves a good spring roll, thanks to Pad Thai. Welcome to the neighborhood! We’re glad you’re here!
