It always makes me smile when someone who reviews a place takes half the review to recommend a different place (Ale Emporium). Anyone think maybe Indy Eats is the owner or manager of Ale Emporium? Shameless BS. The Pint Room has really good food and really good service plus a amazing beer list. And no, I don’t work there :-)31 Aug, 2014I’ve been to The Pint Room 4x and each has been a nice experience. The beer list is large and full of interesting craft brews which is what first drew me there. The food, however, has been very good as well. I’ve always been greeted enthusiastically which is a nice change compared to most places any more and the bar servers are very knowlegeable (and attractive) beer fanatics who have made some mostly good recommendations. I’m from Carmel and this is a very nice, very non-chain restaurant addition to our food/beer line up in town. Oh, and the PBJ burger seemed crazy but was actually really good. This is a solid B to B+ place to eat and drink (and I’ve almost never given an A in the past). I’ll be coming back…

Great service – terrible food.. Our server was warm, gracious, and prompt. I ordered the BELT (no egg which is a BLT). My friend asked for no tomato on his sandwich and so they didn’t put any on mine…the bread was stale …. it had cheese (not a great taste combination) and finally the bacon was hard and not flavorful. The fries were tasty but lukewarm. This was an awful sandwich and the only thing that kept me from complaining was my friend recommended the place and I didn’t want him to feel badly. It’s an interesting place with terrific people but I can’t recommend it and won’t go back.

Forgettable. In town for the weekend last week 9/27 & 28th 2014. It’s loud, snobby and food is gross. I ordered the crab cake sandwich. A mushy avocado was the most insulting bite I had. It had zero flavor. I was a guest of folks I hadn’t seen in a while and would love to had a place to hear yourself think but it is just a bar. Save yourself the $ and energy. My niece also got the crab but had to also remove the avacado. Her husband got the BBQ salad that looked pretty good. He had no complaints. We had an appetizer but I forget what that was. This is a skip it.

Didnt even get an order. Horrible service. I never write reviews but this place warrants a complaint. My friend and I went here on Labor Day and sat at the bar. It was not crowded. We got one beer and never got checked on for almost an hour. Needless to say, we didn’t order another drink or food. Nice atmosphere but not a fan of chasing down the bartender.

Good Location for people don’t want to drive to Ale Emporium for good beer. It’s good for the people who don’t want to hit HopCat or Ale Emporium. But as a beer fan, these places offer more. The beer selection was nothing special. Some beers that I find at other establishments as well (Boulder, Abita, Bier, Sun King…)We ordered the fried pickles to start and they were all breading and hardly any pickle. The breading was well done , I admit that. IT didn’t pull off and it was heavy. The dipping sauce just tasted like Mayo and tartar sauce. The atmosphere was more like a restaurant than a bar/pub/taproom.After that one beer and appetizer, my out of town guests checked the beer selection at Ale Emporium. We went there and were able to find some great beer. They had a 5 page printed beer menu that was printed that day to show the most recent additions. Tuesdays were 2.50 micro bottles and they gave us that deal on a Monday.I won’t go back to the Pint Room on my own. I would go to meet some people if they were there already.
