The Best. We visit Svagati quite often. A gorgeous intimate little place. Food is outstanding. The wine list in my opinion is like no other in the region. Very unique selections. Chef Tony visits and will explain menu items as well as the wine list. Svagati has just created a new menu and wine list. Many new items on the menu. We’ve tried a few and all are delicious. Great place for a quite dinner with that some one special or for a group. There’s a very nice party room available.

Went for the first time today with my husband, had a very nice time. We went a bit early so we were the only people in the dining room until we were ready to leave. We had the calamari, which was ok, nothing special, but the sauce they had with it was really good. I ordered pasta that had clams and a gorgonzola cream sauce, my husband had spinach ravioli with a mango sauce, and both were delicious. Then we had a canoli for dessert, which was outstanding. The chef/owner came and talked to us twice, once to introduce himself and help us choose our orders, and then again to see how we liked everything. He was very welcoming and helpful. We will definitley be back.

Loved it when it was Svagos. Haven’t been to Svagattis yet but plan to very soon! Bravo to the owner for staying so close!

Quaint & Nice …. But. We had our New Year’s Eve dinner there w/our family – the kids had pasta which was very good & the meatballs are amazing. I had chicken Marsala & it was ok, it came in a bed of oil??? I didn’t like that, the side of pasta was laying in oil as well… My husband had fish & it too was in a bed if oil??? We loved the atmosphere & Tony is such a wonderful host, he visits w/each table & talks about the menu. The calamari was frozen, not good at all-we were disappointed with that as it’s our fav appetizer… We so want this ristorante to do well, just a bit if tweaking is needed…

Great service, excellent food. Really enjoyed our stop at Svagos on the way back from Indiana. The food is top notch upscale italian and the wine list is quite complimentary. The coffee with a side shot of pistaccio liquor was a new experience and definitely something worth repeating. Looks like we found a new favorite place to stop when in the area again.

Best Birtro. 5 star restaurant. great food, great Chef. As good as any Downtown Chicago restaurant. Almost did not review because wanted to keep it private, but so good had to share.
