Decent food at a decent price. I had spaghetti and he had fried chicken. Was it fabulous, no… But it was good. The service was good and the food was prompt. Our drinks were filled frequently. They have a good sized menu with everything from breakfast to steak. Not bad.
Stopped here on recommendation from my hotel. Nice little place. Bigger menu than I expected and the Greek Gyro I ordered was better than I expected for the price. I’ve paid more for food that wasn’t nearly as good. Open 24 hours too, which is great for night drivers like me. I’ll definitely stop by again when in the area. If you have a large vehicle or a trailer, the parking lot might accommodate you depending on the location of other vehicles. There is an adjacent lot that is vacant that might work too. Google map it if you like.

Acceptable, not exceptional. I visited Callahan’s today for the first time in probably 10 years, only because I had a coupon for a B1G1 free dinner. The hostess didn’t smile or greet us when we entered and stoney faced led us to our table. Our server although not rude was not what I’d call friendly at all. No greeting or smile from her either. Check backs were few and far between. I received a tea refill as we were ready to leave. A refill for the other party with me was never offered. The food was, as titled, acceptable. The broccoli cheese soup was very good with a few nice pieces of broccoli florets in it. I ordered one of the specials, steak fajitas. The flavor was good but the steak pieces were tough and somewhat grissely. Instead of being served with a few flour tortillas it was served with 3/4s of a large tortilla which had be cut into quarters making it pretty much impossible to roll a decent fajita. No sour cream was offered, but the dinner came with 1 side (I chose the soup) some wilted, shredded lettuce, a spoonful of chopped tomatoes and a little guacamole salad. In my opinion, the quality nor quantity was a $9.99 value.
Ok but nothing special. Stopped here for a late dinner since it came at the recommendation of our hotel.First, the hostess was on the phone and seemed rather unpleasant… we had to wait for a waitress to finally see us to seat us. We were impressed at their selection of diet soda choices… I was quite happy to see that they had diet mt dew. Their menu is large and all over the place… Greek dishes, Italian dishes, American dishes. Almost too much choice and none of it is done spectacular. We got the veggie appetizer which amounted to cauliflower, zucchini and mushrooms, breaded and fried. Was pretty standard, since i’m sure it comes frozen and they just fry it up there isn’t much to mess up.Most of their plated meals come with 2 sides. One of my sides was a side salad. i had to pick out the brown slightly slimy lettuce. When we got our plated dinners, I ordered the grilled chicken and my other side was a baked potato. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin with brown gravy and his sides were hash browns and cottage cheese. My chicken was not what i expected. it was a giant flat piece of chicken that was unnaturally stringy and rubbery and super salty as if it had been marinated in something. My baked potato was very old.My husband liked his tenderloin but to me it was over-done (too brown) and they just used a brown gravy mix. His hash browns and cottage cheese was ok.The weird thing is… both meals also came with an orange rice… we didn’t see it mentioned on the menu, and it was like the 3rd side dish. It was ok, but had a nondescript flavor and was super mushy. We figure that rice is cheep and they are using it to fill the plate since they served all the side dishes on side plates.for all that food we paid just under 30 before tip. more than we had initially intended to spend but since we got the appetizer is understandable.i doubt we’ll go back during this visit to Elkhart. There are many other places we’d like to try!
Good food, clean, bright. Restaurant is very friendly and very professional. Clean, cozy and welcoming. Broad range of items on menu. My Greek Salad was crisp with a nice mix of greens, generous feta and gyro meat included. The sandwiches and fries I saw being delivered looked great and HUGE. This is not as inexpensive as an IHOP, but the quality of food made me take note and wanted to give kudos to a well run local restaurant.
