Very good food, small portions in airplane trays, expensive. Good: nice service, very good food, wide variety of food choices.Not so good: It is a barn, plain and simple. Food is service in airplane tray style plates. Portions are not big. Expensive.

Not so great. Paid extra for croutons, cheese and bacon bits on my salad, that is included most places, garlic bread was included. Ordered fried chicken, wanted all white but they said no, they don’t do that. Got leg, thigh, breast & wing. They were very small pieces and sort of on the greasy side. Had ice water, bill came to $16.77. I wasn’t impressed with the food. Waitress seemed to get more friendly when it was time for me to leave a tip.
Heinnies charbroiled Clydesdale Cut (20oz) of Prime Rib is the BEST in the Midwest! I’m not exaggerating whatsoever!!!!!!!!!! And you get the country atmosphere by drinking beer out of mason jars!!! Also their blue cheese dressing is to die for!!!My family meets here regularly and they swear by the fried chicken and the bar fish! It’s summed up as this……WE LOVE IT HERE!!!!!!!!
Great Food, Not Returning. First, the good. The food is as great as all of the reviews said. Better steak than Golden Corral or any other discount steak place. I took my husband here for his birthday because he loves steaks and we like to try new restaurant. The menu on this site is out of date, the meal we went there initially to eat was unavailable. Every single topping was nickel and dimed to death as extra for stuff that at other restaurants in this price range is just a given. The service was really slow, which confused me because the place wasn’t very busy. The waitress did her best to ignore us and didn’t bother to smile. At first I thought it was because we weren’t regulars or she was having a bad day,but then another couple our age wearing clothes like us came in, and they professed to being first time diners too. The waitress smiled and greeted them and checked up on them three times for every time she checked on us, even though we were seat along a main walkway. We had to struggle to get refills. The only difference between us and the other couple that I could tell was my husband isn’t white. So… very uncomfortable. We don’t usually credit bad service to the racism card, but what else can it be when there’s another couple just like us that get treated better and the only difference is that they are white like everyone else in the restaurant?So, yeah. Good food, but never going back.
My wife and I ate there for the first tine yesterdajy. Easily, one of the best steaks either of us have ever had!She had a filet, and I had the rib eye. Outstanding!
Local resturant. Was nicely surprised how good the food was. Had the orange roughy (baked) w/baked potato & salad. Wife had fried chicken which was also very good. I would return next time I’m in town.
