Unassuming Restaurant with Outstanding Food. Late in July my wife and I were visiting from Wisc. and were treated to dinner with her brother. We totally enjoyed the experience. I had chicken creme marsala and it was incredible. We also enjoyed great service. The salad and rolls were fine, but was the weakest part of the meal compared to crab appetizers and the main dishes. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality. Too bad I live 600 miles from this place!
The food at Angelo’s is a little bit better than 95% of the rest of evansville, it’s not number one but is in top 5 easily, our server was Jason and he is an improvement to the usual staff that works their , he knew how to talk to me and the wife and treat the kid! We will be back!
I can not even begin to say how terrible this place is we had dinner there and every aspect of this place falls into the worst place I have ever been category the servers have no idea what the are doing the food is frozen trash just thrown together and no flavor what so ever the building looks like it is falling apart and dirty as hell why anyone would rate this place anything but -5 I have no idea all I can say is NEVER GO HERE!!!!
I was at Angelo’s with a large party. We received terrible service. We were seated in the basement which smelled damp and musty. We had to ask for drink refills repeatedly. When our servers brought our food out they had no idea who had ordered what even though they took the orders. The food was of average to below average quality. We waited nearly 20 minutes to get our checks. It was an experience I do not plan to repeat.
Seems pre-packaged and microwaved. Never been impressed.
I still love this place. My mothet used to take me here as a child wen they had the checkered table cloths. Its like a whole new place now. I did think it was a little pricey the last time i was there but the service and the food were great. The salad and pesto are terrific.
Five stars for sure!. Dined with a very good friend on Valentine’s Day evening. We were seated slightly before our reservation time at a hi-top but then offered almost immediately a regular table which we declined. Initial offer of drinks was a little slow in arriving but after that service was superb by Jack, a very well informed and well-spoken young man. The menu for that evening was abbreviated due to the expectation of heavy business. We had expressly chosen Angelo’s to have veal parmigiana which was not included on the abbreviated menu. Upon request Jack consulted with Angelo and the dish was quickly and graciously served to us. We did enjoy the salad served to us before our entree; we did request the salad be lightly dressed and our request was filled. The garlic rolls were very enticing when served although upon sampling the pesto butter was not to my particular likeing. Would very definitely return for dinner and I am interested in trying their lunch offering.
