The price is expensive, but the food is good. The bang bang shrimp is wonderful. Service is was very polite and timely. The atmosphere was intimate, but a little dark so make sure you have you flashlight on you phone.
Hubby and I stopped by on a week night for early dinner. Our server and food were excellent. Hubby had Ahi Tuna and I had the Trout. Years ago when this restaurant opened, I recall locals complaining that it was to little food for the money. That has obviously changed. I had to bring my side dish (Mac & cheese) home with me. Generous portions! The only slight complaint I have is they slathered butter on my trout after grilling it. If one is concerned about calories, request they leave it off.
I usually don’t eat at chain restaurants, but Bonefish is one of my exceptions to that rule. My son and I went for bang bang shrimp Wednesday. (Wednesday after 5pm their bang bang shrimp appetizer is $6) They are always busy on Wednesday, so we made a reservation and were seated right away. Of course we split the bang bang shrimp and each decided on the steak and crab cake meal. The server brought our drinks right away followed by a loaf of bread and dipping oil. Our appetizer didn’t take long. We opted to add a cup of the corn and crab chowder to our meal. I can’t pass it up when we come here. When our dinner arrived our steaks were cooked a perfect medium rare, the crab cake was very well executed and even our sides were good. Bonefish is not inexpensive, but they are consistent in providing a pleasant dining experience and good food. If you are looking for a bargain come at lunch. They have a lunch plate with two bang bang tacos and a cup of corn crab chowder for $9.95.
