Visited this place with a colleague. Ordered Cavanaughs Calamari as a shareable, was quite good, but almost no spice. Have not tasted squid for some time so was enjoyable.Wanted Chicken Marsala, but there were no chicken items on the board, so was a disappointing. We ordered Seafood Scampi and Scallops for main course. Enjoyed the meal and the slightly pricey bill.Service was excellent and so warm. Am not a great fan of live music, but it was good music being played.
Food was DELICIOUS, dessert was even better, and the waiter was such a gentleman. 100% recommend. It is a little pricey, spent $355 on dinner but well worth it!!
Completly Ignored!!. My husband and I went into the restaurant 10/02/2014 with intentions on having a wonderful romantic evening. It was defiantly quite the opposite. The hostess was very polite and showed us to our seats and kind gentleman brought water to our table. We looked over the menu and decided on or choices for dinner. We waited for almost 15 minutes wailing for our server ,who never arrived. After waiting for 20 minutes I made eye contact and several gestures with the server who completely disregarded me and continued helping others who had arrived after us. After 30 minutes of waiting ,we left. I was a server for close to 20 years and I would never treat anyone in that way. Maybe she felt our attire wasn’t dessy enough for the restaurant .Maybe she felt she wouldn’t receive a tip from an an interracial couple?!?I don’t know what was on her mind, but I do know this…Our money is just as good as anyone else’s is, and it didn’t matter what we had on, we were the customer and should have been treated as such!!!I will never return to that restaurant and I plan on taking my complaint as far as I possibly can .I would never want anyone to ever feel the way that we did..
Ahi tuna app was by far the best thing I ate tonight, French onion without the holland rusk, tasted good but no texture. Oysters were gritty, Caesar salad was tasteless. Pino Grigio was nice, Nior a little dry, wine list was very over priced. Has lost a lot of the luster in the decade I was away….. Service was good and the staff accomidating
Poor. Had an 8:15 reservation on Valentines Day! We were seated at 8:40! Drink order finally taken at 9:00, after we asked for help! Salad at 9:25, entree at 10:00, and food was cold. Finally, got check and left at 10:30!! Several tables around us seated at least 20 minutes after us and left way before us!! Absolutely the WORST Valentines Day service I have EVER had!!!! Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! Will NEVER return!!!!!!!
Not worth the price!. It was my wife’s 40th birthday so I wanted to take her someplace nice. Unfortunately the food quality was below that of an average family restaurant. It took us slightly less than an hour from the time we sat down to get our food, which was fine since we weren’t in a rush. But when I finally received my steak it was LITERALLY HALF FAT! I didn’t want to send it back and wait even longer. I ordered medium well and this was barely cooked to medium rare (it was even cold in some spots). The meat was so tough to cut I shook the table. Is this the quality of meat you get at a premium price? The menu is a la carte, so I added broccoli and loaded baked potato. The broccoli was bland, and the potato was as good as I expected (hard to mess that up). My wife ordered the scallops and a salad. The salad was nothing special, but still good. And while the scallops were good, she only received 6 of them! The manager of the restaurant (at least I think that’s who he was) kept checking on the table behind us, but nobody else. When I turned around I saw why. The woman had on a dress that had cleavage shoved up to here. Ahhh, now I get it! He literally walked past us (and everyone else) 4 TIMES to check on this couple! The bottom line is that if you charge a premium price, you should deliver premium service and at least above average food quality. I understand that you cannot always control the quality of food delivered by the vendor. But this was definitely not worth the price you pay. I cannot recommend Cavanaughs!
Over priced for cold food in multiple experiences….. I try to stick with the prime rib here but my sides r always cold but i never like to complain. The one time i strayed from the prime rib my pasta dish was so cold the noodles were stuck together and i had to speak up and send it back. At those prices its very insulting to be served cold food…..
