If you want a ton of food for a reasonable price, this is your place. But it’s also what is wrong with America. The portion sizes are overkill. Take my advice and split a plate for anything you order. I’m only rating it 2.5 because it’s simply fried food, nothing special about it at all. Take your heartburn meds with you.
Cheddar’s is pretty good and it always seems packed! For a neighborhood grill restaurant, it’s better than Chili’s or Applebees IMO. Their onion rings are great. I also like the Philly Cheese steak and the Shepherd’s Pie. Beware sitting in the brick side rooms as it gets really loud in there.
Love this place… Fav restaurant! I love going here. The food is amazing. Decent prices. And you always walk out with left overs and a full stomach!
Ordered the Chicken Tender salad and after eating a few bites found several pieces of entirely raw chicken. The server was extremely nice, had my salad replaced and informed our table the Manager would be out to remove salad from bill; however, Manager never showed up (even after 20+ minutes) and salad was not removed from ticket. Spagansna needed salt and pepper and husband’s burger was well done nor medium as ordered. Never have understood why this place is so popular as their food is mediocre (besides the croissants ) and the wait is always excessive. Today’s experience reaffirmed that opinion.
Well my chicken was amazing but my daughter’s burger a Frisby and husband’s steak had to be sent back twice so awful I told them I was not paying for it and paid for my drinks and left so disappointed if I wanted Mcdonald s I would’ve went there..
Evansville Cheddar’s Not Clean. More than once I have visited the Evansville Cheddar’s and found issues on how they clean the tables.They have tried to sit us down at dirty table, the wipe the table with a soaking wet towel and leave it all wet. I took my drink napkin to wipe it dry and my drink napkin ended up dirty instead of just wet. I have seen where wait staff has taken dirty dishes off of a table, never wipe it down and then sit people down at that table. I have made complaints about this to Cheddar’s and believed them when they said things would get better but 6 months later, the same things happen again.Not only is there a problem how they clean, there are many issues with the wait staff as well. Please note there are a few good wait staff there but they are mostly there during the lunch crowd, the evening wait staff has been really bad. Poor/slow service, not caring about the customer, not taking care of customers, and many other reasons I feel there are issues.The food at Cheddar’s is good, but for some reason when I order the same menu item just as it comes on the menu, I never get it the same way twice. I have registered complaint with Cheddar’s and the management there but it appears that nothing changes. I am not saying that all Cheddar’s are like this one. But from now on, this location won’t get any of my business for a very, very long time if any of my business ever again.
Just not for me. I kept hearing this place had great food so I have gone 3 different times, each time thinking I just ordered the wrong thing and next time it would be great… Not happening. First time I got the shepherds pie I think it was called? It came out and was barely warm and was bland. Had a great beer til I found out it was $6…. So I tried it again, second time I ordered a burger of some kind and iced tea remembering my $6 beer from the first time, same thing burger was pretty bland, seemed like it had no seasoning at all…. third time I got a steak and chicken dinner, chicken was ok but the steak was so overcooked and dry I did not eat but 1 bite of it, I wrapped it in a napkin and brought it home for my dog… needless to say 3 strikes and I’m out, not my kind of place but feel free to try and judge it for yourself.
