Although we arrived at dinner time on a Saturday we were able to be seated immediately. The menu was large and there was a large variety to choose from. We had a little bit of a wait but expected it due to the high volume of customers. The portions were huge and the price was very moderate. We had a bit of trouble getting our drinks refilled and I wanted to order something to go. The server was very busy and I was unable to order the takeout due to the wait time. I would come back tomorrow and the next day and the day after.
We were wanting a home cooked meal out so we decided to go to Cheddars. It has been quite a while since I had been to Cheddars. We arrived about 6:30 on Saturday night. There was no wait but the restaurant was pretty full. There were four of us and we were seated at a booth. Our server was quite busy with a full section and three new tables. She came over and got our drink order. When she brought our drinks we ordered an bacon cheese fry appetizer and our meals. Heidi and I decided to split the bacon cheese burger and the country fried chicken meal. My niece got the 6 oz. sirloin and my daughter chose the chicken strips and a salad. The appetizer didn’t take long. It was served with a side of ranch and was hot, cheesy and really good. When our dinners came out everything was great. My dinner portion of the country fried chicken had two pieces and was served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Heidi’s burger came fully dressed with fries. Chloe’s steak seamed bigger than a 6oz. It was cooked a perfect medium rare and came with mashed potatoes and corn. Alyssa chicken strips came with broccoli casserole and cole slaw. Everyone was pleased with their dinner, big portions, good food served hot. Our waitress did a nice job even though she was really busy. Will have to go back more often.
