Had the Sportsmens burger. With cheese pickles and tomato and it was very Good. It was not greasy at all. Good taste. Also have the cheese and bacon fries and they were hot and delicious also. We will be back
I’m conflicted with the Sportsden sadly. I love the classic bar food that they offer and the great beer prices. I’m basically obsessed with the hot pepper cheese balls with horseradish sauce. Great burgers too. But almost every time I’ve been, we’ve had endless problems with the service. The servers are often rude and unattentive, they constantly mess up orders and they can’t calculate the bills correctly. We had one server who was terrible with us, so we left her a tip that reflected that. The next time we came in, she served us again and was blatantly rude. She ignored us all night, didn’t refill our drinks and took almost an hour before she let us order our food. The service here is always hit or miss but the food is definitely not.
Worst Customer Service Expericence Ever!. I will never be back. If you do go, make sure that you sit in the bar so that you can avoid the server for the family room. Our service was awful. First off, it after she took our orders and got our drinks. She never came back! She paid close attention to all of the other tables but our own. She came back to deliver our food and still did not ask us if we wanted re-fills. We tried to get her attention multiple times, and she still ignored us. She finally came back to see what was wrong after we asked for her a third time. Then, she said she could bring us a pitcher of water. The pitcher never came. She did re-fill our glasses after waiting another 10 minutes. We ended up waiting a total of 35 minutes for one re-fill of water. Additionally, I ordered a 14 inch pizza and she charged me for a 16in and told me that I was wrong! She also yanked ketchup out of my girlfriends hands and gave it to someone else right as she was going to put more on her plate. When I spoke to the server and the owner about it, she told me that I wasn’t telling the truth and that there was no food left on my girlfriends plate. Additionally, the owner only compensated me by taking 5 dollars off of my order. Our friend’s orders were not compensated at all. He also told me that he thought I miscommunicated. Actually, it was horrible service. There was no miscommunication on my part. I informed him that we would not be back and he just said he was sorry that is how I felt. I am disgusted with their customer service. Even if I was wrong, the customer is always right. I do not appreciate being told that I was wrong and that I miscommunicated when in all truth it was the servers fault. Do not even consider going to this place unless you are just getting a drink.
This is my go to place for a Stromboli. The bread they use is the best in town.
Really good pizza here. Too many Busch Lt rednecks inside though.
Parmesan Cheese Balls. A large version of your standard cheese ball or cheese square. The cheese inside is softer and fluffier, and they are served with your choice of sauce (we tried the pizza sauce and the horseradish, both were good.)10 Apr, 2010Good pizza. The pizza at Sportsden is always good, with a thin, slightly crispy crust, very browned cheese, and a perfect amount of toppings. The prices are very reasonable, and they offer a variety of sizes, including a mini personal pizza for about $3. There are food and drink specials every night. They also offer sandwiches, including their special ‘lyleboli’, which I’ve been told is very good.
