This is hands down, my favorite restaurant in town. Everything is pretty awesome at the Charro. Best salsa I’ve ever had! $6 lunch special everyday which includes your drink and tax, it’s really a deal that can’t be beat. The margaritas are super strong and the food is awesome. If you want Mexican, you want El Charro!
The best…… Blows every other mexican place away. Ive been a loyal customer scince 2004 i believe. Margaritas r the best and at half the cost as Los Bravos r anyother place ive been to. The single order fajita is enough to feed 2 people. 6$ lunch special anything on the menue including a beverage. Kids eat free Saturdays. The salsa is delicious, always get some to go. Great staff great food and great service. Always leave satisfied and stuffed. 😉
Foods great! Lunch price is $6 after tax and that includes a drink. Can say anything bad about the place.
Portions are small, at least for the lunch time chimichanga. Salsa is runny, not flavorful. Chips tasted oily. The only good thing I tasted was their guacamole dip.
By far the best Mexican food in Evansville. Try the Burrito Jalisco, it’s off the rails on the flavor train! The Charro burger is also delicious!
LOVE LOVE LOVE except…. I love the prices, the food (especially the salsa!), how quickly they get the food to you and the friendly staff. The only thing I do not like is their inability to answer their phone when I am attempting to place a take out order. I frequently have to call several times in a row before someone answers. But that hasn’t yet stopped me from calling over and over again until someone answers so I get my yummy El Charro food!
Love it.. I love this place, I have been a fan of this place since they were by Schnucks many years ago. The food is always good, and you get huge portions. The staff is always friendly. For my money it can’t get any better then El Charro when I’m in Evansville and I want Mexican
