Disgusting, Bad, Awful. The title says it all… service, food, atmosphere, everything is akin to a port-a-potty. I have eaten here twice, the first I thought was grand opening problems, the second time they solidly established themselves as terrible.
My fianc and I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The staff was very friendly, it was a nice laid out restaurant, and the food was prepared very quickly. Also the waiter was very attentive and also friendly. I got the shrimp and chicken with rice and cheese sauce and it was absolutely delicious; I would definitely come back to get this plate. My fianc’s meal however, was very bad. She got the combination platter and ordered ground beeftaco, enchilada, and rice. The only thing that we liked from the plate was the rice. The ground beef used was very fine as you would see in dog food.i’m not sure if this was just because it was the combination platter or if this is the actual meet that they use for all of their burritos, but both of us agree that it was awful. Overall, we would definitely go back but avoid the taco enchilada on the combination platter. It would also be nice if the salsa was chunkier.

Good price, but won’t go back. Went today, first time for us. Reason we went? Little Italy Italian is closed on Sundays. Restaurant full but they got us right in. Prices great. Personally didn’t like the sauce on the enchiladas, but they did let me substitute beef for chicken. Ask for no sour cream, it came on the lettuce. Chips and salsa were as good as Los Bravos so I was pleased. Our guests tried different variety of foods so they would have to give their own review. We don’t like Haciendas, and I would rate this one a Star above it. Los Bravos wins my vote until we find better.
I will not return… Went there with my girlfriend. We wanted to try something different and new from Los Bravos. The first round of chips were stale and horrible. Very chewy. But the 2nd round was much better. The cheese dip was 2 bucks which was nice. My girlfriend got 1 margarita which tasted like it was made with El Toro or some nasty tequila. We ended up getting combo meals. The rice had corn in it, which I have had before. However, the rice was disgusting. The beans were absolutely terrible. The tamale wasn’t half bad. The burrito and chili releno was disgusting. The sauce on all the food tastes like BBQ sauce. They also put Parmesan cheese on the food. I turned my head more than a dozen times wondering WTF was going on. Overall experience was just horrible. Bill was cheap, 28 dollars, and I left 35 for the waitress just because the overall experience was horrible because of the food and atmosphere, not her service. I will never go back. It was bad enough experience that I don’t want to give it a second chance.
Great Mexican Food. Like El Charro on the west side, this is the real deal. Great food and prices.
