By looking at the outside, Happy Garden doesn’t look like much but they have some of the best take-out Chinese in Evansville. My favorite dishes are the Vegetable Lo Mein and General Tso Chicken combo. The Vegetable Lo Mein is full of flavor and cooked in delicious sauce. The portions are huge for the price and is enough for 2 meals. Highly recommended for Chinese take-out.

Yuck. Do you not like spicy foods, is your idea of spaghetti catsup and butter? Then go ahead and eat here you will like it. If you care about taste and texture then skip it.I ordered the szechuan beef so did my girlfriend.Place is mostly clean, you can see them cooking the food and the kitchen is cleaner than most places. Food was ordered and cooked very fast.Food was very low quality, not cooked properly, sauce was awful. There are pictures of the diff dishes you can look at, mine did not look even remotely like what the picture showed. It was some awful joke. It was definately not szechuan, hunan, or cantonese style. My girl thinks they tried to figure out what stupid redneck americans might think good chinese food was and then made that. It was awful. The pea’s in the fried rice bother me. They were perfectly sized, not shriveled or anything, the skins were not separating from the inside. However they were hard and dry tasteless things. I have no idea how they accomplished this. Flash frozen and then not cooked?8$ is way more than this food is worth, if they sold it for 4-5$ I could understand the low quality and would of been more expecting of what I received.

Wow this place rocks! A mom and pop ran place on the southside doesn’t look like much outside, but man the food… The guy is a wok master! The sesame chicken is my favorite thing I have tried here. He gets the oil at just the right super hot temperature before stir frying, and the dish comes out with this amazing seared sesame smokiness to it. Real stir fry! The breaded chicken chunks are perfectly cooked and really flavorful and tender inside. Comes with pork fried rice which would be amazing even by itself. Cooked to order hot and fresh, and a huge portion for the price. Easily enough to make two meals! We always get carry out as the inside storefront consists of like two small tables and a counter to place your order. Another great thing about this place is the the aluminum dish with plastic lid takeout containers they use, even after a 15 min. drive home they keep your food super HOT and fresh.

One of the best in town. Best Chinese food on the southside! Great food, at great prices.

So good!. From the outside this place may not look like much but the food speaks for its self. Very good!
