I’ve had lunch here a few times. I’ve always received good service and the place is clean. Pretty much good ol’ greasy Cheeseburgers and a selection of other items. It’s close to where I work and quick. Besides I like a greasy cheeseburger now and then.

Love Jakes. One of the best places for burgers around. Always fresh, juicy & lots of great toppings. Great fries and chips. We go quite often. Staff has been great every time we’ve visited. Never had a bad meal there and we have been many times.
Bone in my chicken!. My boyfriend and I moved to the East Side of Evansville a few of months ago and started going to Wayback Burgers because it was close to our new house. Our first few visits the food was fine, nothing amazing but decently prices and edible. Shortly after that there prices increased and their overall quality decreased with smaller portions, bland flavor and lackluster service! The last time we went I found a piece of bone in my chicken sandwich. I was disgusted! When I informed the manager/owner what I had found he offered me a coupon for a free burger. I didn’t want something else to eat I was very much done with my meal at that point!! Since then we have gone back once but ONLY for their shakes which are very good, we do NOT get any food!
Very Impressed. Comparable to 5 guys burgers. better fries and they give a 20% discount to veterans….and thanked me twice for my service. i’ll be a repeat customer…
Won’t return. I went in on a Monday night to get a carry out order. I tried to get a kids meal for my son but the cashier informed me that they will not sell kids meals unless a child under 12 years old is present regardless of whether its carry out or dine it. Cashier said that a bunch of old ladies come in on Wednesday (his exact words) and try to take advantage of the $.99 kids meals on Wednesdays. Cashier suggested that I buy a $3.69 junior burger and add fries or make it a $6+ meal. I bought a burger to try myself and it was bland and dry.Ive never heard of a burger joint refusing to sell kids meals unless the child is present and eating in the lobby. Will not return.
Won’t go back to Wayback. Well, the burgers here aren’t bad, but they aren’t great. And the fries were very bland, although I did like the flavor and the crunch of the Maui chips. However, I would much rather have gone to Five Guys. More meat, more flavor, and much more generous toppings at the place down the road! I ordered grilled onions and mushrooms on my burger and got a smattering of chopped onions and five measly mushrooms (which I paid 50 cents extra for). My husband and I both left feeling hungry despite spending $16 for a burger-of-the-month and fries and a jr. cheeseburger with chips. To end on a positive note — the staff was very friendly!
