Tuesday, November 18, 2014 The Tasters visit the Kennel Clubof Evansville, IN.Working withManagers Missy Fritchley, Michael Steckler and Executive Chef Sam Wagoner aspecial menu was created for The Tasters event at the Kennel Club. We had threemenu options and the opportunity to do a wine or bourbon tasting withappetizers prior to dinner. The wine andbourbon tasting was fun and included a wide range of wines and bourbons. Thecost of $10 a person for tasting seemed reasonable for what was included. We started the meal with the Kennel ClubSalad, a basic Bibb lettuce, Bleu Cheese, onion with Italian Dressing. Our maincourse choices were a six oz. Filet Mignon Oscar, which is a rich topping ofcrabmeat in a hollandaise sauce, served with mashed potatoes and steamedasparagus. Grilled Chicken breast withpecan crust and a raspberry sauce, served with snap peas and red peppers, andwild rice pilaf; or Maple Glazed Salmon with the same fresh vegetables andrice. All entres were cooked as ordered and served beautiful at a cost of$25.26 -$37.10. The professional serviceand atmosphere at the Kennel Club is hard to beat, it proved to be a veryrelaxing experience for all. The Tasters rate on Atmosphere, Food, Drinks,Service, and Over All Experience. The Kennel Club of Evansville was rated 23out of a possible 25 points, with high marks for the Over all experience,Atmosphere, and Service.
