Good place. This is a good, quick place. We always like the food, the people are friendly, and quick. The only down side, in my opinion, is that they never have bubble tea!
Best in EVV. As someone who likes crab rangoon, the first thing I did when moving to Evansville was to track down Chinese restaurants and start ordering. Lincoln Garden is, without question, the best place for crab rangoon in Evansville. It’s a truly beautiful mix of cream cheese, crab, and wonton wrapper. It’s not greasy and the filling never has that…gritty texture dairy sometimes gets when cooked. My one complaint would be that it cools too quickly, but that’s not on them. But I really love that they have portion sizes. I’m the only one in my household who eats crab rangoon and I do not need 10. I want 2 or 3, but their small has 4 and that’s perfect (because while I say I want 2 or 3, I’m so happy to have that fourth one). I also adore their spring rolls. They’re much different than what I’m used to, but it’s a good different. The fried rice is also really good. It’s not as well mixed as I’m used to (mostly with the egg portion), but I don’t mind the difference. I’m not in love with their sweet and sour, but the portions are generous, so I’ll continue to order entrees, trying new ones until I find my perfect meal. Pricing is close to being a little high, but honestly not too bad when considering quality and quantity. I have problems finished the combo plate and can’t finish it, if I order the small rangoon. Also, they’re very nice there. As anyone familiar with EVV food, after 9:30 the pickings are slim and mostly fast food. I called at 9:10, ordered my food, and was assured they’d wait for me to pick it up. Now, I got there at 9:28, but still. That was incredibly understanding of them.
I have tried this place twice, and both times has been disappointing. It all looks really good, but then you taste it. Sauce for the sweet and sour chicken tastes watered down. The kung pao chicken had more baby corn than chicken. Crab ragoon tasted like it was pure cream cheese. Shame that a restaurant like this is going to stay around, solely because of the college across the street.
The worst mongolian beef from here to Alaska. I know because I drove from there. The dish was all onions and bell peppers. Wheres The Beef? Save your money. Go anywhere else.
Awesome! Yucky eggrolls but everything else was delicious! An they delivered really quickly!
Great Affordable Chinese Food. My wife and I have dined @ Lincoln Garden as well as using their delivery service and we’ve been delighted each time. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the portions are plentiful – especially their Combination platters. They have regular lunch specials (currently a $5 lunch special including drink) and frequently send out coupons in the local paper. We’ve never had any issues with order accuracy, and the staff is always friendly. It’s an odd thing to compliment a restaurant on, but we also really like the take-out containers – they’re not your typical cardboard containers – they are plastic, re-usable and are great for reheating your leftovers!I wholeheartedly recommend Lincoln Garden if you’re looking for great, affordable Chinese food.
Fresh, and Friendly. Probably one of the best in town, always hot, fresh, and made to order! Always friendly! A++
