The kids decided they wanted Popeyes for dinner tonight. I looked up on line what their current specials were. I decided to call and ask if I could pay extra for more white meat pieces. The lady who answered the phone was so friendly and helpful. She took my order and told me she would cook us fresh chicken. We went through the drive through to pick up our dinner. The girl at the pick up window was very pleasant as well. We got a 10 piece chicken (6 breast and 4 legs) with a family size mashed potatoes and season fries plus 8 biscuits and a large tea for $32. When we got home the chicken was hot and crispy, The biscuits were a little heavy, but very good. The sides were fine but fries had gotten a little soggy on the drive home. Pretty good meal. The best part besides the really great service was I didn’t have to cook anything.

The manager was on and he recommended the 10 piece since it is a special and the same price as the 8 meal. I asked how long ago the food had been cooked and he said 20 minutes. I asked for some legs (which they didn’t have) and some mash potatoes (which they were out). Mind you this is 20 minutes before they close. He offered to cook everything fresh and I accepted.It only took 10 minutes to get everything I asked for.Everything was awesome. The food was superb and fresh. Best Popeyes food I have ever had. Chicken was still extremely hot by the time I got home and in the house. Biscuits amazing! I love friend chicken and hit up KFC, Lee’s, etc… But wow. Tonight was excellent! His recommendation of the cajun spice on the red beans a rice – superb. Honey on the biscuits – amazing.I will write corporate over this and tell them to give him a ++++++!

It’s back. Cash only for now, so save yourself the headache.They got my drive thru order wrong and the manager was courteous about the mistake and corrected and gave me extra strips. The spicy strips are pretty spicy for my palate. I think I’ll go again before I rate it.
