We went on a very hot, very busy Saturday evening. Was able to get a decent parking place. Went inside fans and AC working overtime. We were told it would probably be about 30 minutes to get a table. We were able to find a couple places at the counter across from the bar and had a drink. It took about 30 minutes to get a table, we were seated in the back of the restaurant small table but ok. Our waitress was right on and took good care of us. Our food was very good. The place was crowded but great bar atmosphere. If you’re in a hurry on a weekend night you might think twice about going, I don’t know if they take reservations. Good time, good food. We’ll be back.
Went on a Friday night, they were pretty busy, had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. I enjoyed the atmosphere, we sat outside which was nice.Service was pretty slow, but they were pretty busy. One thing I HATE is when you get your appetizer the same time as your dinner…so I will always deduct points on that. The Caesar salad was AWFUL, but the potato skin appetizer was very good. My steak was excellent, and so were the fries. I’d recommend for a Friday/Saturday date night.
Definitely a local place which is always a good sign. Had the pizza and it was very good. Waitstaff respected it was a business meeting and served us without being in the way
Night Out at Smitty’s Italian Steakhouse. The hostess seems mad at the world not sure she should be the first person you meet at the restaurant. Our waitress was great really tried to make our experience great. We were seated near the kitchen, never received our bread throughout the meal and we were there over an hour. Our waitress asked about it multiple times and was yelled at by their kitchen chef.We saw that and it upset us, we paid our waitress and told her because how she was treated we intended to wait for our dinner bread and we would just take it to go. We also asked to see the manager who never came by but our waitress told us the manager made arrangements for us to get our bread. Finally we got it about 1/2 hour following finishing our meal. The food was pretty good, we had a good waitress, but the seating hostess and kitchen attitudes were horrible. Their attitude and our anticipation of getting our dinner bread thru our meal and then not receiving it ruined what could have been a great night out. I doubt we will go back and recommend if you want to have a nice evening dinner with your wife that you go somewhere else.
My family and I dine here all the time. We have never had a bad experience! The food is great and normally very fast unless they are very busy. Most of the staff is very friendly and attentive. We did have one poor server whose name was Matt but the manager said she would immediately take care of the problem and we have not seen him there since.
Girl’s night out. First visit. Last visit. Medium-well steak ordered, well done half burned steak sitting in what tasted like vegetable oil received. Medium-rare steak ordered & received, but again sitting in oil. Well done burger ordered, very undercooked burger received. Chicken Marsala looked like it was a chicken breast covered in soup. Pizza ordered was doughy in the center, even after being sent back to cook a little longer. All the meats were bland. Baked potatoes & salads were great. After waiting 30-40 minutes, the manager said he wasn’t going to do anything since we decided to eat the food. He never even asked what was wrong. No apology & no attempt to fix future problems. Next time, we’ll go somewhere that does care.
Bad Experience. We went to Smittys to celebrate a birthday. No one in our party had previously eaten there. Our evening started with a waitress who explained she was very tired and she displayed that fact throughout our time there. We continuely had to flag her down for refills and even then it would be an extended period of time before she came back with refills. When our food arrived, after an hour and ten minute wait, one sandwich was burnt, the fries on four of the orders were soggy and undercooked, and lastly the brick oven pizza was not what we ordered and was not properly baked. It was limp and doughy. It took ten minutes to get a manager to come to our table. She took the pizza off the ticket. However, she never offered or asked if we wanted something else. She never acknowledged the other problems. We were hoping for a fun and relaxing evening, Unfortunately that didn’t happen. We will not eat there again.
