They were able to fit our large group in on short notice. My family bragged on their breadsticks and they were completely right. They were fantastic. I loved the thin crispy crust on the pizza. Great service, happy and helpful!
I met a girl friend for lunch today at Spankey’s new location near the west side Schnucks. We met up at 11 am Monday and were seated immediately in a booth. The restaurant was very nice, clean and inviting. The waitress came over and got our drink order. I opted for an order of bread sticks for a starter. The came out quickly and were excellent. The waitress said they are made in house. I got three with a cheese sauce for $3.49. Very good choice. I ordered an eight inch pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza for $6.49. My friend got the half veggie half west sider eight inch pizza. Our pizzas came out shortly after the bread sticks and were piping hot. The pizzas were square and had a cracker crust. The sauce was very good as well, not sweet. The waitress did a great job filling my tea glass, bringing napkins and clearing our plates. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I will definitely be back and bring my family. The only thing that might make it better would be a small salad bar.
