Nice, clean place inside with lots of windows. Nicely renovated not too long ago. Outside dining, weather permitting. Friendly, attentive staff.Menu consists of All-American comfort food, which tastes pretty good, but is a little bland. Not too expensive.A good place to eat by yourself or with family.

Ann’s has been recently remodeled, both inside and out. The inside is much roomier and brighter with all the new windows. For lunch today, we had the BBQ Chicken Salad with fried chicken tenders. Also had the Chicken Club Wrap with homemade chips. The salad was great! I’ve had it before – it’s a favorite of mine. My son had the breaded tenderloin sandwich – the best in town!

Great Breakfast….. Enjoyed a great breakfast….too much to eat. Eggs were cooked perfectly..pancakes nice and fluffy and the country fries were enjoyable. Ann’s is undergoing a major renovation as of 08/09/14 and the loft is being removed as my server informed me. They will be closed temporarily for a short period, but I don’t recall the exact timeframe. Check it out…you will enjoy this restaurant for breakfast and lunch. whstonemandining.blogspot.com

Giving Aunt Judy’s a run for their money. I am not familiar with Franklin restaurants… yet.But at this current rate, with my first one being Aunt Judy’s and my second one being Ann’s (I’m going to leave Athen’s out of this, bless their heart), I’d say that this town has some serious home-cookin diner competition.Ann’s might not blow your mind with the building or the decor itself, but hold on a minute, because there’s something going on here in the kitchen… Although the menu doesn’t necessarily go into detail just how much cooking from scratch goes on here, I have witnessed my coworkers and my meals come out with a heavy hand of good old fashioned cooking in the back. And I’m not talking about reheating and scooping from cans either. Take a sandwich or burger’s standard side, for instance: fresh cut potato chips. This is one of the few things a restaurant can do (besides fresh cut fries) that can completely alter a diner’s experience. The fries we got were not exactly hot, but they still had a crisp and flavor that could make Kristen Stewart smile. My buddy’s mashed potatoes were real (as was indicated by the chunkiness) and so was the gravy. His green beans had bacon in it, just like they should. And his chicken breast was obviously hand breaded and fried. My Jalapeno Burger was shorter on toppings than I would’ve preferred, but it had a substantial enough bun and a great taste with the special spicy sauce and jalapenos smothered all over the melted cheese. The burger patty itself was also perfectly done. Oh, and lest I forget, we got their fried pickles as an appetizer and were impressed that they were breaded in house (instead of the frozen premade kind that most places pass off) and served with their amazing house-made ranch dressing. This place is awesome and it deserves to be rated higher in the town of Franklin than it is. You absolutely need to come here and experience it for yourself.
