Mexican food just like every other Mexican place.. Striving to keep the record going in terms of least original Mexican restaurant in the area, La Cocina breaks no new ground with their standard fare menu. Perhaps one day, the owners of these too-many-to-count establishments will break their ties from the Mexican Restaurant Mafia and start making food that is actually crave-able by doing everything fresh. Tortillas are cheap and mass produced, all protein already arrives pre-seasoned to the restaurant and if things aren’t slathered in nacho cheese or quesa blanca, then it doesn’t have much flavor. Why can’t this place serve us what they’d actually be eating south of the border? I would bet that most Americans would gladly flock to that new kind of interpretation. Oh well, until then, we have to suffer with the same old, same old.On a positive note, this place was very clean and the service was good and fast.
