There is no hostess, which kinda makes sense because they would probably be yelled at a lot due to the lack of seating. But finding a table by yourself is very frustrating. Also while people are waiting, it makes other guests uncomfortable because the waiting people are kinda hovering. There isn’t enough staff. Took between 10-15 minutes to be greeted by the waitress. There was only one waitress.I’m almost convinced there was also only one cook. The food was very good after almost the hour wait. The atmosphere was okay, but it was also very cramped.
I’ve been a couple times, at in bar area. Positives are full bar, decent beer options & fun atmosphere (packed on both visits). Unfourtynately, food is bad. There serving simple pub food so expectations are low & still missed. Chicken wings are generic & under seasoned. Freud pickles & cheese cubes aren’t bad but nearly impossible to mess up. Orders chicken sandwich, extra spicy. Came out plan with literally 3 chicken fingers, no topics. Chicken was frozen looking w/ no flavor on cheap plan bun, no topics. Good dive bar for a beer but food is generic.
POOR SERVICE, NOT GOING BACK!!!!!!. Went there like 130p lunch crowd was finishing. prompt of getting our order. wait was just ok. But.. either because of the wind or the girl just walk too fast, half of our chips fell.. she said she’ll let our waitress know to give us more chips and 1 beer which we order then.. We already finished our food, no nothing from them.. We have to go in for us to pay our bill and they were not busy.. She was more on cleaning the tables than taking care her customer outside.. Definitely not a good place to dine in….We found a place when we left there that we plan of going next time go Franklin, IN.. it’s ANN’S RESTAURANT behind the courthouse.13 Apr, 2014Cheapest Beer. We were in motorcyle we stop by there for the first time today and had some bottled beer, price was good less than $3 each. We’ll definitely come back for lunch and try their sandwhiches. We like the set-up+Franklin is neat, parking is free and easy..That’s why we regularly stop by the town when we go Nashville, IN.
Neat facility and good pizza, too bad drunken jerks at the bar had to ruin it. Worse, bar maid seemed to eat it up, maybe this is welcome at this place.
World Class Rueben… shame about the service though. A bit of advice for the upscale diners that come to the Willard for lunch: sit at the bar. You’re going to otherwise have service that takes a 30 minute lunch and stretches it into 50 minutes. No joke. The two female servers they have patrolling the tables is simply not enough. And with seemingly no dress code, the only way you can tell them apart from the other diners is that they walk with a slight quickness in their step. Our server came up to our table after almost 7 minutes of me and my coworker staring at each other and memorizing the menu. Why the long wait? Because it seemed as if they had to walk back and forth to the bar for every little thing they needed, which is why I’m telling you: sit at the bar. Twice the bartender actually came to get us refills or deliver our food, that’s how not-busy she was and how busy our servers were. Management, please fix your inefficiency problem with your service stations. All things aside, the Chili con Queso Dip was sort of a let down with nacho cheese being used as a base with some flecks here and there of chili. Very bland chili at that. My friend’s steak salad seemed naked (see picture) when he ordered it with all of the requisite items off of it in order to preserve his Atkin’s style diet. But he claimed the steak was pretty good. My Reuben was probably one of the better Reubens I’ve had the chance to sink my teeth into lately as it was piled high and the rye bread was buttered which gave it even more flavor. It certainly has Lil’ Bertha’s Reuben in Edinburgh beat.Overall, this place is pretty cool because of its history and well-preserved interior. Come to soak it in if you’ve never been. The menu is very very small, so don’t expect to be blown away, but do expect slow service and pretty good food.
I love this place and their Wings..Food is great… my only complaint is we never seem to get quick service. But the food is always good and hot…. I just fall asleep waiting for it….
My favorite!!. It’s not just somewhere to eat it’s an experience. Every thing is great about this place it’s definitely not a club type bar. It’s a sit down on your ass relax enjoy the atmosphere with a cold smithwicks and a pizza or wings!!
